Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis — Atlantis Walkthrough

The last region is not a country. It is an island with a pyramid that should not exist, a ruler who should be dead, and an artifact that can rewrite a species. This chapter prepares the end of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis without pretending we have a published room list for the 2027 pyramid.

What 'Atlantis' means in this game

Marketing lists jungles of Peru, ruins of Greece, deserts of Egypt, and a mysterious Mediterranean island. That island is the Atlantean chapter: mines, pyramid, flesh, and fire in the original language; Unreal Engine 5 architecture in this one. Jacqueline Natla, revealed as the third ruler of the triumvirate, wants the Scion as a tool for guided evolution. Lara's answer in 1996 was to smash the device and survive the collapse. Developers say the classic story is expanded with connections that bridge this adventure to Lara's future, including the later Catalyst timeline, so expect more connective tissue than a straight movie of the PlayStation ending.

How to enter the finale prepared

Do not arrive with unused artifacts. The skill tree is fed by collection, not a hidden XP grind, and the pyramid is the worst place to discover you skipped Peru side caves. Brew healing and damage dishes before the last push. Dual pistols can finish the game, but the assault rifle's 25-meter lane and the shotgun's ten-meter panic button exist because Atlantean enemies historically stop playing fair. Read weapons one more time if you have been pistols-only out of romance.

Traps become the executioner while enemies remain the guardians. Rolling balls, collapsing floors, and precise timed gauntlets are the promise Will Kerslake already made. Raise traversal assistance if your hands still bounce off Greece's poles. The finale should feel dangerous, not like a 1996 save-crystal massacre unless you choose that.

Natla, mutants, and the Society's shadow

Human mercenaries exist partly to make Natla's faction visible before the supernatural peak. Animals and mutants still own the myth. Official combat talk mentions leopards, crocodiles that can drown Lara, wolves, raptors, and pack berserk logic. Atlantis is where that bestiary historically goes wet and wrong. Keep Focus as a panic grammar, not a cutscene you wait to recharge in the open.

The Society of Raiders is a new-old idea around the remake: an underground network of explorers and thieves that Lara's ancestor T.E. Croft already belonged to in 1887. Whether they stand as allies in this game, as one leak claimed, or simply haunt the margins, the island is where private expeditions stop being private. If a mercenary squad is holding a door, that is story as well as cover shooting.

After the pyramid

When this page updates post-launch it will include the actual collapse sequence, any changed ending, and collectibles you can miss on a first escape. Until then, finish the earlier briefings — Egypt, Greece, Peru — and keep the Scion page beside you so the last cutscene is a conclusion, not a Wikipedia tab. The walkthrough hub remains the index for the whole raid.

Frequently asked questions

Is Atlantis a full open island? +

Official copy describes a mysterious Mediterranean island and an Atlantean pyramid. Do not expect a far-cry map; expect a large, lethal interior with outdoor approaches.

Can I finish with dual pistols? +

Developers say yes, if you are skilled and patient. Other weapons exist for range bands the pistols do not love.

Does this game retcon the original ending? +

The team calls it a reimagining with deeper links to Lara's future. Details of any retcon are not fully public. This page will not invent them.

What should I read if I only care about the final boss? +

Characters, Scion, weapons, and Focus. Then come back here on launch day for the actual arena.
