Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Story

Some legends are destined to be retold. This one still sends Lara Croft after three fragments of an Atlantean device, still ends in a confrontation with Jacqueline Natla, and now insists the raid is also a bridge to the rest of her life.

The spine you already know

Lara is hired — or compelled — into a retrieval that is not about glory. The object is the Scion, split across Peru, Greece, and Egypt. Qualopec, Tihocan, and Natla are the triumvirate that once ruled Atlantis. Natla wants the completed device to steer human evolution. Lara destroys it and walks out of a collapsing pyramid. That is the 1996 plot, still the official marketing skeleton. What Crystal Dynamics will not yet spell out is the 'deeper connections' that tie this defining adventure to her future, including Tomb Raider: Catalyst.

A unified Lara

Alix Wilton Regan plays this Lara and the later Catalyst Lara as distinct ages of one woman. She uses the phrase unapologetic. She also uses 'no Laras left behind': 1996 sass, Jolie auditions, Survivor scars. The jade necklace stays. Dual pistols stay as Roth's gift. The Society of Raiders, an underground network with the motto Verum Invenire, Virtus Revela, now sits in the margins — T.E. Croft was already a member in 1887. Read characters for people, the Scion for the object, locations for the map. Then go raid it via the walkthrough.

What this wiki will not spoil

We will not invent Catalyst crossovers, secret endings, or a Society betrayal that only exists in a leak. When the game ships, this hub becomes a spoiler-tolerant summary with a clearly marked ending section. Until then, treat every 'expanded storytelling' promise as a reason to play, not a reason to read a fake script.

How to read this story without the games you skipped

If you never finished the Survivor trilogy, you are still invited. This Lara already did that work. The necklace and the axe are the handshake; they are not a quiz. If you never finished 1996, the Scion plot is explained on its own page in plain language. If you have finished both, watch for the places Crystal Dynamics refuses to copy: mercenaries as Natla's visible faction, a Society in the margins, a voice that is unapologetic instead of hunted. Then go raid. The walkthrough is the itinerary. This hub is the why.
