Original structure still holds in every public summary: one fragment with Qualopec in Peru, one with Tihocan in Greece, one in Egypt's Sanctuary. Combine the first two and the third location reveals itself. Complete the set and Natla takes it. The island is the argument about what the completed device is for. Official copy calls it an artifact of immeasurable power from the lost civilization of Atlantis. That is enough to justify the body count.

In the classic telling, Natla uses the Scion to guide human evolution and found a new civilization — a god project with a corporate face. Legacy of Atlantis has not published a contradictory manifesto. Expanded connections to Lara's future may reframe the cost, not the theft. Players search 'Scion Tomb Raider 2027' because they remember the word and need to know if it survived the remake. It did. Everything else on the expedition is furniture around that noun.
